Farmers Market III

One cooler Saturday morning late in June, we visited the Lexington Farmers Market for the 3rd time since we acquired the Segway. Here, best friend, Ken Wright (Elementary Supervisor for the Scott County School System) stopped to pose for a picture with me and the Segway. Ken also likes to ride the Segway and has even discussed getting one for himself after he retires. This reminds me of a funny story. Once after getting the Segway, I rode it to Ken's house and while we and his neighbor were out front with it, a younger boy (abt. 4-5 years old) was walking with his mother across the street. He was looking at the Segway as he walked and his mother was talking to him, probably telling him what the strange device was. As he looked our way I heard him reply to his mother "Yea, but they're a bunch of old men'"

Once again, fresh vegetables from the market provided a basis for our evening meal.
