Look What March Winds Have Blown In

We took advantage of a warm sunny day and ventured to the park for some playtime. Here Sam is pictured climbing up some monkey bars (real appropriate for him).

Storytime at the Scott County Library has became a favorite place to visit for the grand kids (and grandparents too, of course). Pictured above, Lil' Miss Priss (aka AnnMarie) participates willingly in a craft time activity. Of course, the Segway continues to make it possible for me to attend these fun activities with my grandvarmits.

Other goings on this March - 1) A local newspaper reporter phoned last week and came by for an interview and some pictures. A very nice article appeared in the Georgetown News/Graphic which has generated a lot of very nice compliments from friends and people in town. 2) MS update - A nurse has been coming by once a month, per Doctors orders of course, and administers an IV bag of steroids. This along with the injections of Betaseron is being tried in an effort to help stabilize my slowly progressing disease. The jury is still out and we are playing a 'wait and see' game and will be looking at adjusting the dosage. Steroids - I don't like them very much - they give me a very hearty appetite for a day or so after I take them and Arnold Schwarzenegger I'm not.

Speaking to the Georgetown Kiwanis Club

Thursday, I was invited to speak at the Georgetown Kiwanis Club meeting about the Segway and how it has affected my life. Last week I spoke to the Senior Group at Faith Baptist Church. As pictured, I stood on the Segway as I talked because as I have repeated several times, this is where I am the most comfortable.
