Santa Mall Trip

Thursday evening the family (complete with grandkids) made a trip to Fayette Mall to see Santa Claus. I got a surprise when I saw the two Lexington Policemen on Segways cruising the mall. I stopped to talk with them and to have my wife take this picture. Egad, I thought my Segway was getting all excited at being so close to two others. Notice the glare from the reflectors, I'll have to get me some of those ;-)

Seeing the grandkids with Santa was a real treat. Without the Segway, there's no way I could have accompanied them on their quest to see St. Nick.

Prior to the visit I had talked to Sam (smallest one) and convinced him that he should pull Santa Claus' beard, that Santa would think it was funny. (Hey I'm a mischievous grandpa. I can't help it!) Well, he was so awed by the experience of sitting in the jolly old critters lap that he forgot. I'll just have to try again next year.
